1st Peter Chapter 1— another take away

Chapter 1: 3–5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Look at all we get with being born again.,,..,.or as God says begotten. Our spirit is born and we are saved from the penalty of sin. As we walk the Christian life and grow we have help from the Holy Spirit and are saved from the power of sin. When Christ returns our salvation is complete in that we get a new body and will no longer have to live with sin or the result of sin. What a glorious hope….what a glorious inheritance.

We may have to endure trials, persecution or violent death, but our souls cannot be harmed if we have accepted Christ. In fact Paul and Peter both say we will have trials but they also say we will rejoice because we know our fight is for Christ. In all that Christ suffered for us, it is an honor to be able to suffer for his cause.
