Preface: Underlying Values to Reclaiming A World Built On Trust
Problem: Our most critical root issue in making our people and planet whole is trust. Whether trust of self, companies, trust in the economic or justice systems, trust in personal relationships, or environment, etc, this root issue is running rampant and counter to all of our efforts. Trust requires an underlying set of agreements that enable it to operate seamlessly though, and our current underlying set of agreements (the Constitution and Declaration of Independence) do not activate a trust that we can collectively depend on. And it isno surprise. We are aware now that those documents were not created for all of us, as it wasn’t created by all of us. And a body that can’t trust its parts shuts down.
And then we can’t breathe.
Does “I can’t breathe” sound familiar in this era?
[Reminder to Breathe: *deep inhale* *deep exhale*]
Prompt: So — how do We, the be-ings present, restore trust?
Solution: New Terms of Agreement to Restore Trust
Since Trust is based on our Understanding/Terms of Agreement, we need a new social contract that is objective, just, all-encompassing, updated for who we are today, and has the space for us to evolve as we grow.
As such, we have begun by developing a new contract that gives us room to breathe and support us and our ecosystems in becoming whole again below:
Open/Edit: “New Declaration to Restore Trust”
For this document, we will need to invite people from backgrounds across our country to truly enable it as all-encompassing of the beings present on Earth (and specifically in U.S.A.) at this time.
But before diving in, please read carefully below, where we find a set of principles that are essential to the cultivation of a sustained, healthy world that begins with the healing process of being radically honest about how we are and then choosing how we will go from here:
[Intermission: Reminder to Breathe: *deep inhale* *deep exhale*]
1. Key Values to Add to our Current Sets to establish Trust
Today, our world is beginning to grapple with diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. However, the missing values below are necessary to animate the former in a vibrant and healthy way:
• A.wareness [constant observation] empowers us to notice and expand in knowing ourselves fully.
• C.ompassion [enduring together] eradicates all prejudice and invites patience and understanding.
• A.ccountability [ownership of self-records] keeps all of us responsible for ourselves.
• I.ntegrity [every integer accounted for] makes us whole.
• T.ransparency [being able to see through] helps us show up, see and be honestly.
And wholeness is ultimately what all beings seek in our lives as inner self, inter self (with one another), collective self (all of us), and whole self (each of these layers of self combined.)
2. Universal Principles that guide the use of these values
We live in an energetic (inner-getic/in-urge-etic) world. There is no physical matter.
Our inner actions become our interactions, resulting in our collective action/collection.
Energy flows where attention goes.
INtentions INform our Attention.
Inner states become inter-states.
Our impacts are guided by our INpacts.
What we appreciate appreciates in value.
3. Tools for navigating this as energetic beings having a human experience
The heart transforms energy.
The mind moves energy.
The soul carries energy.
Truth liberates all of it.
In truth, we find alignment and authenticity.
[Intermission: Reminder to Breathe: *deep inhale* *deep exhale*]
As such, it is vital to focus on resonance with truth in our lives over reasoning.
Where there is dissonance, there is no clarity or resolve.
Without resolve, how can we progress with clarity and truth?
And without the occurrence of truth, how can we be aligned in our direction?
Understanding the above breeds a healthy foundation for Trust from the economic and environmental vectors to the legal and justice fields and beyond.
[Supportive Note: Listening (with compassion) allows us to expand our awareness and wholly understand. Understanding allows us to love (with accountability). For one can not love without understanding. So, what understanding does our current awareness provide us with? And what does it leave out? Whose data is represented? And how? Is it all-encompassing? If not, we have a problem.]
We need systems that embody and prioritize these values of Awareness, Compassion, Accountability, Integrity, and Transparency. But currently, these are not our values, and so there is a gap in knowing or understanding them. Without closing these gaps, we perpetuate placing all power in the hands of “others” to control and rule over “others,” as if we are somehow separate. These values empower us to be conscious of ourselves and understand the inner-interconnected nature of our world.
So, from this day forward, you will find me personally committed to embodying, writing, educating, and closing awareness gaps around these values (A.C.A.I.- T.) and how we can practically execute them in our daily lives. It may be uncomfortable, but often expanding into our truest selves is so.
Through this, I believe our new world of health, liberty, and happiness for all is achievable. I appreciate being able to share this journey with you and welcome your feedback, wisdom, guidance, support, collaboration, exchange, and any other form of symbiotic contribution.
With love, accountability, and compassion,
Zai (Davion Ziere)
