A Simple Reminder That Changed the Way I Look at My Day
You’re still in line. That means you still get to choose.
You don’t know how long you have.
None of us does.
This powerful image by Logan Zillmer reminded me of something essential.
We’re all quietly waiting in a line we didn’t choose. A line we can’t step out of. And none of us knows how many people are ahead of us.
And yet…
We stress over everything.
We postpone joy.
We say, “someday.”
We live like we’re going to be here forever.
But the truth is, our time is incredibly limited.
No moment will come back exactly the same.
Every second is a once-in-a-lifetime event. And if we’re not careful, we’ll miss it — not because we weren’t there, but because we weren’t present.
Stress numbs your experience of the world.
To truly live, you must first relax — then relax a little more, and a little more, until you can feel the subtle sensations in your body again.
Only then do you reconnect with the richness of the present moment. That’s when you’re fully alive.
