A Yin & Yang of Second Shot Experiences
The contrast in my wife’s, and my second shot experiences could not have been greater!
The purpose of this story is to share an interesting experience that I had. It is not intended to convince you to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
Opposites Attract
My wife and I are in the 65 and over group and so we signed up to take our first vaccine shot on February 10, 2021. We both had sore arms and skipped our normal morning yoga zoom class for a couple of days. At one point in the middle of the night, I woke up with an intense dizziness (vertigo), but it did not last long and we had no other reactions.
We got our second vaccine on March 10. We had read that we were more likely to have a reaction to the second shot, and were told that when we got the shot, as well. So I was kind of ready for more vertigo.
Well, I did not have any vertigo spells, and our arms were about the same as after the first shot — maybe a bit more sore. But we did have other reactions.
