Every one of us carries stories waiting to be told. They’re tucked into the corners of our imagination, often hidden beneath the hustle and bustle of daily life. The key to uncovering them is to give yourself space to wonder, to play, and to imagine.

I’ve found that some of the best ideas come during quiet moments — like walking through a park and watching the light filter through the trees.

A simple observation can spark a cascade of questions: What if this park held a portal to another time? What if the light wasn’t just light but a signal?

The more you ask “what if,” the more your imagination unfolds. This process isn’t just for writers; it’s for anyone who wants to tap into their creative potential.

When I began crafting A Place Within, it was born from moments just like these. A casual observation led to a deeper question, and that question became a story. It reminded me that creativity isn’t about forcing something to appear — it’s about letting your curiosity take the lead.

A Place Within is one of thirteen short stories (a baker’s dozen) that will be included in my first ever story anthology, The Resplendent Window Vol 1 due out in early 2025.
