The NDE (near-death experience) of El Serumaga
With a CO2 level of 200 mmol/L, the doctors didn’t see El Serumaga making it out of the hospital. CO2 levels in our bodies shouldn’t go above 35 mmol/L.
The whole situation happened because her infection was not responding to medication.
The infection started attacking her vital organs. And El went into septic shock.
The doctors told her family she had less than a 1% chance of living. Her lungs had stopped working, so they had to put her on life support in an induced coma.
Even if she survived, El was probably going to have brain damage.
But while her body lay in a hospital bed, El’s consciousness went on a journey.
