What Does the Soul Think About Valentine’s Day?
Soul thoughts on relationships and being single
At first, when I wonder about what the soul might think about Valentine’s Day I feel silly, it seems like one of those holidays manufactured to sell cards and flowers.
Although that’s not entirely true, it is based on St. Valentine. The actual person behind this title may be more than one and the facts are unclear. What is known is he was someone who helped others, often in matters of love.
If we go even further back, there was a Roman Pagan holiday, Lupercalia, a fertility festival involving sacrificing animals at the cave of Romulus and Remus in hopes that it would increase fertility in the year ahead.
Still, what Valentine’s Day has become is commercialized. A day when, if you are single, it can feel as if the constant focus on love is maddening. Or, if you are in a relationship the pressure to show your love can be downright stressful.
But, what does the soul think? Isn’t the soul based in love and wouldn’t the soul maybe, like this day? I usually ask my guides questions, but this time I decided to try something new and ask my soul.
