I write my What My Guides Say stories early in the week to publish on Fridays, but events are happening so rapidly, that the story I had planned for today, about flying, is old news.

We had the 47th president announce tariffs on our longstanding allies and bordering countries, Mexico and Canada. We have seen forced deportations. We’ve had threats to our federal government, sensitive information being fed into AI software, disrupting federal funds, and removing federal employees. And the outrageous, idea of taking over the Gaza Strip.

These times are stressful, unbelievable, and shocking. I want to turn away and tune it out, but we are all needed right now to contribute, in our own ways.

I hope that consulting the guides will give some insights and peace to readers.
