What this means for our future
It happened again. For the second time, America couldn’t elect a woman president. Another presidential race filled with hope, potential progress, and inspiration, is gone.
It wasn’t just any presidential race though. Women’s rights were on the table, and we voted against that. We voted against the freedom to choose what’s right for our bodies. It is an unconscionable thing to imagine and yet it is reality.
I’m heartbroken, along with many others in this country. Other countries have had women as chancellors, prime ministers, and presidents; why can’t we?
When I have questions I ask my guides, the archangels. Today, I am asking them about the glass ceiling in American politics.
It feels as if America is stuck in a different time with women having fewer rights, why can’t the US elect a woman as president?
