The Assassin

Silence chooses too

Democracy around the world is under attack. No where is the assault more virulent than here in America. Power screams blame for all society’s ills at the other. And, Hate is Power’s assassin.

The other, who works the lowest paid unskilled labor jobs, is blamed for Americans feel shut out of highly skilled and high paying jobs being overtaken by AI and automation imposed by the oligarchs. Fingers point and Hate blames the other when Americans can’t afford eggs or rent or healthcare. Meanwhile, the billionaire broligarchs keep funding the rightwing grasping for power — the power to punish the other, to snatch our money out of our pockets to make the billionaires even richer.

Our democracy spirals toward doom, and you turn a blind eye. All the terrors haven’t come home to you… yet. You still rest in the comfort of a privilege to remain silent.

However, your silence screams volumes — because… SILENCE CHOOSES TOO. Fair warning: Silence won’t protect you. Hate is coming for you too. Sooner or later, it will turn on all of us.

It’s time to ask ourselves…
“If not now, when?
If not me, who?”

We have only this time and ourselves. We are here now and we…
