Project 8: Maps

The Tuition Map (top) was practice for making data maps. My personal map (bottom) was a map I created. I created this map because I wanted to visualize the growth of population in the United States in the span of fifty years. You can see records of population between the years 1970 and 2020. I also added a percent change so you can see the exact change ranging the fifty-year time span.
For example, West Virginia’s population has grown the least since 1970 (2%), while Arizona has grown the most since 1970 (76%). You can also see that Wyoming had 2020’s smallest population, while California had the largest population by examining the legend.
