End User Computing at New Look prides itself on being a professional, supportive service, that is passionate about IT and our role in the company. We support our users in all aspects of their New Look journey; from setting up their accounts and equipment, to resolving any IT issues or questions that may come up during day-to-day work, to saying goodbye and ending accounts/wiping devices.

What we’re currently involved in

Jamf

We’re excited to announce our introduction of Jamf managed devices has been a success. Now our Mac users are more self-sufficient with their devices as we deploy software quickly, the workers can troubleshoot issues with the help of the self-service tool, as well as have access to approved applications and software. Our Desktop Support team are keeping on top of Jamf training so that we can continue to support the workers in the most efficient way possible.

Office 365 migration

Keeping NewLook agile — as the business (and workforce) expanded across the globe, with stores and offices in the UK, Paris, Poland and China, we had to improve our way of managing user accounts, developing organisation communication and working more productively. This is where Office365 came in, as it allows us to manage licenses as required, enables the workers to communicate easily and effectively across our different sites through Skype for Business and helps us to make savings to put into other areas.

Skype

With the popularity of Skype for Business within recent years and our migration to Office 365, we made the decision to transfer our telecommunications fully on to Skype. This is currently being rolled out to users in our London office, with the view to roll out to the entire business. Using Skype for Business for IM, video calls, presenting and telephone calls will enable NewLook to work smarter, as workers can stay in contact wherever there is a secure internet connection and work to their full potential. It also helps reduce the impact that frequent travel has on the environment.
