HEADS UP

Happy New Moon in Pisces! This month marks our collective awareness of the COVID virus, closing out a full year of change for all humans on Earth. Pisces season is represented by the archetype of fish and water. As we enter Piscean waters, we are being called to embrace the lessons we learned at the depths of our experiences over the past year. Water is the source for all things living, it also is full of emotion, the unconscious self, and knowledge of life. These are places where we can connect with Source, Universe, Inner-light, God, whatever you wish to label it.

This cycle’s Piscean energy is urging us to not lead with the rational mind, but instead the heart, attracting love, healing, and awakening. Be in flow with this energy by opening your heart chakra this cycle by wearing green, using crystals such as topaz, or just having the intention of an open heart. This is especially important to do because this cycle’s energy can bring up old wounds and pain around childhood, the inner child, and the past. This is delicate terrain and if we do not have personal practices of turning towards the pain to process, it can present as depression, disease, or the need for escapism. We can also work through this heaviness by just enjoying the current moment, the here and right now. Anxiety comes from living in a projection, as the current moment is not interesting, suitable, or sufficient enough. If we live in the present, most things are good-we have shelter, food, and things of quality. Try practicing being in the now and not trapped in the future of what’s to come, to appreciate the abundance that we already have around us.

After a long period of backward, retrograde motion, all planets are now direct for another six weeks indicating forward moving energy for us all. We can’t really go backwards in this time and space continuum we live in-all we can do is move forward. Now is a time to take action and put one foot in front of the other as we make things happen in our lives. There are wonderful energies of empowerment available now in the cosmos for our use if we are willing to dive deep into our inner-waters and do personal work.

Hilma af Klint, The Swan, 1914

A week after the Pisces New Moon we have the Spring Equinox on March 20th, also known by pagans as Ostara, when the sunrise and sunset are twelve hours apart for everyone worldwide. As we approach this yearly cosmic event we all participate in (for some unknowingly), may we ask for renewal to show up for all humanity, as a moment of balance is available to us on this day. May you take notice of this opportunity and tap into a portal of equilibrium nature gives us every year on this day.

With the energies of the New Moon and the Spring Equinox swirling around us, a veil is being lifted-people are developing their skills, beginning to see the languages of nature, ancient knowledge is being brought before us, and we are seeing right through deception. This is called pōhala in Hawaiian, which means to ascend, to recover consciousness, and wake from stupor. Are you being receptive and open as the veil lifts for us all? Or are you sleeping, stuck in programming we have inherited? We can still retain our current wisdom, but we are encouraged to open ourselves to obtaining more or evolving what wisdom we already have. Within each of us are lifetimes of wisdom from lives we led before that can tell us about our true nature and existence. We just have to enter into these waters and experience it.

With love and light,

Kat Lahr

HOW TO MAKE A NEW MOON LIST:

Gather paper and a pen, pencil, marker or other type of writing tool.

Review the focus areas for this month and begin to think about how they apply to your personal and professional life.

Write a list of what your hopes, dreams, goals, priorities, wishes, and prayers are for that moment. Typically no more than 10 is recommended. Be very specific, or extremely vague.

Review last month’s list and revise them on this month’s list, if necessary.

Place your notes somewhere safe and special to you. Some tape them to a window, under a lit candle, or leave them in their notebooks on their desks. Create the space that works for you. Leave it there all month until the next New Moon.

Allow and have faith in the power of inter-connectedness in our universe to manifest your list.
