There was a mild milestone along the line

Let me start with this mild, monumental milestone by the way. I seem to have this sentimental connection with these things. Please pardon my manners.

This was my second story on Medium which recorded a thousand claps within the week. I just observed this with a quiet grin. For the records, it was not published within the mentioned period but it was rather personally symbolically significant.

The story is entitled:⬇️

“Writing is One of the Fewest Positive Addictions”.

Big thanks go to Write A Catalyst and Editor, Bin Jiang for publishing.

The first story was rather a submission to the ongoing writing contest being organized by Janis Gross and the Wake. Write. Win. team.

It is entitled, “How I Make the World a Better Place”. It is a passionate appeal for peace wherever we are and in whatever we do.

Of course, thanks to the same editor and Pub for the publication. Interestingly, they are giving out a total prize money of $300 at the end of the month.

This was followed by another story which I consider radically interesting. Sounds like a strange collocation, right?

It was quixotically entitled:

“My Sentimental Attachment to Golf”. Definitely, you wouldn’t believe what the attachment was. It was not directly related to the game.

Thanks a lot, Frankie Pendles and the Spot On Pub for the propagation of this.

Closely related to that in terms of the sense of uncommonness was “Pretence as a Weapon of Wisdom”.

It is available via the link below.⬇️

No little thanks, of course, to Leonard Tillerman and his Publication named: The Echoing Epiphanies. He did a great job in the editing as well.

Then came another blockbuster of sorts — I would say — with a shade of probable hyperbole. Entitled: “The Danger of Bottling Up All Emotions”; the story explores the African version of masculinity and its negative effects.

It could be reached via this link.⬇️

The next story has to do with a multi-million-dollar dream. You should not miss the juicy-ness therein for anything. Talking about dreaming big, the story typifies it. It was entitled: “In My Dream Last Night, $600m Entered My Account”.

See the story: ⬇️

Then came the first story by this writer published by a generously maverick editor. Thanks to Francisco Iglesias and his unique publication, Inside the Mind of a Writer. He also designed an unprecedented cutely customized title and picture of the author. Kudos.

There was the little matter of a story on soccer, especially for the fans of the exciting English Premier League. It was entitled: “This Could Be the Season for Arsenal”. Click to read, here.⬇️

Finally, the story: “Ekwe” took the centre stage. It was the first poetic work of the author Chinedu V. Onyema in a long while. Here, the author-cum-poet dedicates the work to the celebration of a typically ancient African land.

Great thanks go to the Short Sweet Valuable outfit and its pragmatic editor, Kainos who published in a mood-lifting-record time.

These stories made my week thick.

Thanks for reading.
