I still consider myself one of the newer Medium writers, but I’ve been intermittently writing here for about a year now. I’ve noticed there are a lot of new writers here, which is exciting to see! But since I have some knowledge about this platform, I’ve decided to share what I’ve learned and wish I knew at the start of my writing journey.

Tip #1 — Edit The “About” Tab On Your Profile

Not many people pay attention to the about tab on their profile because the default wording is the same as their bio. However, this is an area where you have more characters to promote yourself. Not many people may see it, but the ones looking at this part of your profile are more likely to be really interested in your writing. Make sure you use this space wisely. Check out this article to see how to edit your about tab.

Tip #2 — Format Your Subtitles
