It is said that to be successful on any platform — Medium/ YouTube/Twitter/ LinkedIn, all you need to do is publish/ post consistently.

Yes, at least once a day.

For those starting out, once a day seems immensely daunting and effortful, but fortune favours those that outlast the rest.

If you want better results, then forget about setting goals. Focus on your system instead.
— James Clear

I’ve been a big believer in systems. The trick is to create a sustainable way to constantly churn out content.

In short, build your article/ idea machine. Here’s how.

Step 0: Be Clear About Your Goal, Know Your Why

This is the biggest unspoken rule. Writing is hard, there is a reason why 95% of those on Medium aren’t writers.

Writing an article a day is even harder.

YouTubers work for years to get their first 10,000 hours. Only 5–6% of Medium writers earn more than $100 a month.

You’re going to go through months of “failure” if your goal is simply a monetary one.
