Anger, if not controlled becomes a disaster. It is only this emotion that provokes crime. Don’t let anger overcome you, the strength of self-control control is superior to the strength of anger.

There are many factors that trigger anger:

  • Work stress
  • Family problems
  • Alcoholism
  • Depression

The Parenting journey is a roller coaster ride. Somedays are calm and beautiful while sometimes it is stressed. Series of sleepless nights followed by busy morning schedules, every parent has to deal with their child’s tantrums. A journey of emotions that starts from pregnancy and continues to your child’s high school academic performance and beyond. It is a beautiful infinite journey.

Anger limitations

It is important to set your anger limitations, you can use your stern voice to make the child realize his mistake but don’t slap or use harsh words.

Take a minute to calm down

In the heat of the moment when you act aggressively with your children, this causes anxiety in them, creating a negative impact on their little minds.

Before the situation gets out of control, take a minute to calm down.

For instance, if your child is annoying you, give him a break by allowing him to play video games.

Move away from your child so that you cannot harm him physically.

Think about the solution only after you have calmed down.

Positive self talk

Positive self talk is very important in training your mind to battle the negative emotions that is making you upset. Use of positive affirmations plays a big role in self-control and anger management, such as you can say, “It is a big deal to me, but I don’t want to do anything to make things worse”.
