Become Unstoppable And Achieve Your Dream Life With This Mindset
A lesson in resilience from an 18-year-old
Wisdom can come from the most surprising places.
Even my 18 year old son.
I dropped him off at University. Unloaded all his stuff into his clean pristine room. I was excited for his new life (although a little tearful).
2 months later he was back.
Covid lockdown had moved his classes online. He was studying Musical Theatre. Thom cleared a space in my back room. And tried to copy the moves his teacher was demonstrating on screen. But dance lessons proved impossible on Zoom.
His classmates grew despondent.
Their dream of the West End faded as they struggled to learn. Some started missing classes. Others were too upset to take part. The teacher tried her best. But it’s hard to teach a class when people need personal support.
What do you do when things go wrong? No one reads your stuff. The algorithm changes and cuts your reach by 50%. A project fails. It’s easy to spiral into despair. To complain and want to give up.
As Thom stared into the abyss, a moment came when he made a decision. A decision that changed everything.
