Book Review: A Paper Orchestra

Two years ago I discovered an entire segment of writing called creative nonfiction.
Creative nonfiction is a writing style that uses the same techniques and devices found in fiction to tell a non-fiction story. Like this piece I wrote about a crazy dangerous situation I experienced while walking down a street in Downtown Los Angeles.
Evidently, Google and my social media feeds know about my intrigue with creative nonfiction. Because earlier this summer my Instagram algorithm delivered a random advertisement from a guy named Michael Jamin who was promoting his new memoir, A Paper Orchestra.
Michael Jamin is a professional Hollywood screenwriter. Jamin has been the guy in the infamous Hollywood “writers’ room” we hear about. He has written for King of the Hill, Just Shoot Me, Beavis and Butt-Head, Wilfred, Maron, Rules of Engagement, Tacoma FD, among other shows.
