The ride off the main road to the gravel pit is about 8 miles long. Slow going too as bird hunters were walking and parked on the road that isn’t wide enough for everyone!

The seven-year-old complains about the long ride saying, “Why is it such a long way to the gravel pit?” The eight-year-old with the dirt bike says, “You know how the richest of rich people on Minecraft have those long hallways to get to the best places in their house? It is the same thing with this!”

“ The gravel pit is the best camping spot in the world and this road is the long hallway!”

Oh my, another genius! How can one grandmother be so blessed with so many super smart grandchildren? No more complaints! The sad part is that the dirt bike wasn’t working right. His dad brought a new battery and spark plug. That isn’t it. So it will go into the shop this week.

It is a good thing his dad owns the shop!

The birds being hunted here now are partridge. There are lots and lots of partridge this year. Shooting all around where we were camping. Everyone had their orange on. We had target practice but only two hunters.
