Before I got mental help I was struggling with making decisions for myself which correlated with having low confidence. I think individuals experience this feeling at least once in their life.

Sometimes it can be difficult to live life for yourself which is what I was going through.

I got so caught up in titles such as being a cousin, a sibling, a son, etc. I kind of forgot what it meant to be me.

Yes, I’m all of those things but I also have an identity. I think for a moment I lost myself. I got so used to being by someone else’s side when in reality I had to learn how to be alone.

When I started going to therapy, I learned the different ways to gain confidence, one of them being a main point with various factors.

Going on dates with yourself

  • Going out to eat
  • Shopping alone
  • Getting manicures/pedicures
  • Taking a walk
  • Going to the movies
  • And many more

There are many more ways this can be implemented, and I think that once someone starts doing these things, they’ll start seeing a change in themselves.

A big thank you to New Writers Welcome for allowing me to have a platform for my writing. Good luck to everyone on their own journey!

Loved writing ever since I was younger now, and I’m excited to share my writing with others. Love coffee. Okay, I’m done. I think.
