We often see ourselves through the eyes of others which can affect our confidence.

What is everyone thinking about me?

But you’ll never know.

And the truth is, they’re just thinking about what you’re thinking of them.

So why let others affect how you feel and think about yourself? Why not embrace confidence, be self-assured and stop constantly worrying about this?

Confidence is a long game. It’s about becoming someone you like. But, there are a few small things you can do today, to feel more confident and feel yourself more instantly. Let’s get into it.

Move your body

Your body is crying for those endorphins.

It doesn’t matter what you do, just move. Go to the gym, take a jog or a walk around the block, or do some at-home-30-minute-pilates. The world’s your oyster.

Firstly, a good workout will help release the happy hormones, lifting your mood within 30 minutes. And, you’ll also feel more in tune with your body.

Repeat this 3–4 times a week, every week and see how your confidence starts to soar.

For now, focus on today.

Take an everything shower

Do a face mask, shave your body hair if you like, oil and wash your hair, treat yourself to a blow dry, paint your nails. Just primp yourself up head to toe.

This is a secret we women have kept for ages.

An everything shower when you’re feeling down is pure therapy.

I like to treat myself with it every Saturday.

Upgrade the wardrobe a bit

When was the last time you treated yourself to some new clothes?

It doesn’t need to be anything fancy. And please don’t go spending money you don’t have.

But if you have some spare cash, a new jacket or two might help you find that attitude again. You know, the ‘I love how I look’ one.

Your appearance is a great way to manipulate your feelings.

If you’re in 3-year-old pyjamas and a torn top from your childhood, of course you’re gonna feel lazy and bummed out.

But freshen up and change into some clothes you feel confident in, and you’ll feel like a whole new person.

Oh and, don’t underestimate the power of some good jewellery.

Pick up a self-help book

Most self-help books tell us things we already know but haven’t implemented in our lives.

We all know waking up at 5 am, eating well, working out, reading, budgeting our money, investing etc etc are good for us.

But, when we’re feeling down and helpless, sometimes we could use a reminder.

A helping hand to get you where you want to go.

If books aren’t your thing, it’s perfectly alright. Listen to a podcast or put on your favourite self-help YouTuber.

I promise some guidance will help you feel better immediately.

Last thoughts

Confidence isn’t a 200m race, it’s a marathon.

Sometimes, we all lose our way.

But if you take some steps today, and continue tomorrow, one day you won’t recognise who you’ve become and how much you love yourself.

Best of luck!

With love,

K
