5 easy ways to get in your “zone”

Being in your zone or flow is one of the best states of mind to be in while working. Here are a couple of tips and pointers on how you can get into your flow easily.

  1. Clear any distractions
  2. Play soft music in the background (this may or may not help, it depends if you are a music type of person)
  3. Set a period of time where you will just be working. E.g 1 hour, that way you can maximize your flow
  4. Shift your energy to what you are doing, be present to the moment
  5. Don't break your flow. (Don't keep checking how long it has been since you started, (set an alarm if you have to be done by a certain time), and don't get up to use the washroom or drink water. This can break your flow. Keep a water bottle within hands reach and just hold your pee or poo until you are done. If you can't hold it, don't take your phone in the bathroom with you, do what you need to do and then go back to what you are doing without any distractions.)

Give these tips a try next time you want to get in your zone/flow, there is no feeling like it!
