The benefits of shredded paper

Cornmeal is a convenient way to feed the worms and make them call your garden their home. If you have trouble burying food, just add shredded paper on top. Don’t give them anything too rotten or something that smells like garbage. Don’t overfeed your worms

Starchy foods like pasta, bread, and rice are too much for the worms to handle with all the garbage already in there. If you feed them too much, the food will only rot, which can actually cause “protein poisoning” in which your worms will feel pain and become discolored.
