A friend of mine asked if I would rather live my life ignorantly and enjoy its bliss or be burdened with knowledge. It made me think for a good while. The problem is ignorance is never good.

Living carefree due to not knowing upcoming events or your actions' consequences might sound good at the moment, but it will not last. When not knowing you sign a contract with terms you have not read.

With ignorance, you pay the price without a preemptive warning or consideration. When we think about it we find most areas in life that we live might face this issue.

We do not know well about the things we engage in. Enjoying fast food for example. Many do not know the problems or effects it may bring until later or until they discover it. Others know and choose to continue consuming it.

For knowledge, the more you learn, acquire, and collect the better. How good is it to know every detail about a house you might buy? How loud the neighbors are, how safe is the neighborhood, and how well-built the house is. Knowledge certainly does come with a price, but in my opinion, the benefit outweighs the cost.

Each of us has our own goals, dreams, and ambitions we want to accomplish and follow. What would lead to achieving them? Knowing that they can be achieved, knowing that we need to change some things in our lives to accomplish them, and knowing that some things we do are wrong and will only hinder us in our path.

Nowadays there are books on a lot of topics of interest. Self-improvement, time management, finances, and many others. If it is better to not know and stay ignorant books would not exist. “If only I had known”, is heard more than one would think. If you knew which one is better the candy or an apple your choice would not have been the same.

When you know you can prepare, but when you are ignorant you can only react.

This topic can cover a variety of subjects. It can expand and talk about all areas of life. One simply should put in mind that the effort of knowing is better than laziness or ignorance.

Stay great and always improve each day no matter how little improvement is made. Drop by drop the river fills.
