I’m Unmoved, As Should You Be

I’m new to this.
Writing.. about me, my stories, my life and adventures, my journey so far!
I think I can safely say “like many of us” I started listening to YouTubers in recent years, through those “quiet uncertain times”, and started to understand something from those videos:
Everything comes from writing.
I did a double-take on this, thinking long and hard about why that epiphany suddenly showed up — only then! Yeah — we all know this of course, but it was specific moment which just caused a ‘stop’ moment for me because I’d never really considered the ‘obvious’, or maybe I’d just forgotten..
At the time, nothing came from that — except my usual journaling, but fast forward a few years.. and I suddenly found this writing platform to share our stories on..!
We all have a writer in each and every one of us, whether it’s to scribble down a few words, or get lost in executing essays and books.. we all have this ability to bring out the author in us — some more so than others — obviously, otherwise people like myself wouldn’t be drawn like moths to flames with this platform!
Why am I writing about this, and what has drawn you - dear sweet reader to my story?
Firstly; I’m not a professional writer, but I love the idea that throughout the years of story-telling about my life and the adventures I’ve lived — to my friends, family and most of all — my son, that he will at least have this part of me to look back on one day when I’m gone.
Secondly; I’ve found an incredible catharsis through being able to share my experiences with strangers and how I’ve found solutions out of situations just by being able to write them out.
Through this, so far, I’m finding individuals en rapport with my experiences and life — unexpectedly, and I love that!
- I love that we can write and share all these hidden treasures in our minds and lives! I admire the insight from many out there on subjects around spiritual and philosophical teachings, who share their words of wisdom in ways that just leave me speechless!
- I love that there are people out there who gather their courage and share their heartbreak over loss of loved ones and those going through incredibly difficult times, be it job-loss, homelessness.. addictions.. to name a few.
Out of all however, one thing I’ve found I’m most drawn to is the feeling that people are potentially re-discovering their inner-depths again through writing. I feel we’ve somehow misplaced chunks of ourselves through being so busy and so stressed that along the way — for the past decade at least, the real version of who we’ve been hiding was lost, amongst trying to find our way out of an ever-increasing tumultuous world.
So, for anyone reading this, thank you.
I am grateful to be able to have access to stories that I would not have otherwise found!
These are my main reasons behind being indifferent to how many people out there read mine or follow me back.
I aim to convey with whoever feels they’re alone on their journey:
