Let Me Walk Alone
Wish I’d have know this before
Time on myself, I wish I’d have squandered,
In the ceaseless struggle of my own Mortality.
For affection only had my soul wandered,
But ended in the clutches of grim reality.
Let me walk alone, for life is beautiful,
When I felt it with my own truly eyes .
Because it seemed worst and dreadful,
Under the companion of your puckish lies.
No, my heart can’t handle any more false consoles,
Neither could it tolerate anymore betrayal.
For all it’s life, my soul kept striving for others,
But again ended up with handful of emptied commendable.
Let me walk alone, for I was foolish,
To expect something in return from you.
How early should I’ve realised,
This is the World of ‘Me and I’, and ‘Thou and Thou.’
I guess, one of the main roots for sorrows in life is ‘Expectation’. Its natural to expect from others when you do something for them. But we should also keep in mind that selfishness is the essence of humans, for they only think themselves.
Sometimes its better to walk alone in the journey of life, neither expecting from anyone nor relying on anyone.
