Have you met someone who really feels unappreciated, a wallflower who does not stand out in anything, anywhere?

Well, I was one of those, I was a shy and introverted boy who did not like talking to strangers, a poor grade student who would just stay in the dark corner of the room. I just prefer to play computer games and watch soccer, NBA, WWE, Japanese, American and Korean series, and movies.

During my studies, I’d been struggling and by not being able to communicate well, I was not able to show what I could do. I’ve faced challenges where people have labeled me a failure.

18 years after my graduation from university. I started to work for my family business company. I got out of my comfort zone by traveling around the world to understand the products in my niche industry and start importing them to Thailand. Traveling to every province in the country to meet all the important customers to understand the market. Despite making mistakes, being cheated, and helping customers to succeed while making losses, I’d grow through the journey.

It took me 40 years to learn how to communicate confidently and accept who I am, realizing the importance of self-acceptance. I’d transformed from a very quiet and shy boy to a confident and expressive man. I’m still an introvert by nature and I’m totally ok with it.

The message that I’m trying to convey is I want every introvert to feel safe that:

“It’s ok to be yourself.”

Just improve yourself continuously and never say too late.

Throughout the journey of my life, people recognize me as

💙 Kind
💙 Humble
💙 Genuine
💙 Transparent
💙 Empathetic Listeners
💙 Creative problem solver
💙 Practical to do business with

Without having to promote yourself, slowly people who care about you or want to connect with you will eventually realize who you truly are. For those who think it is difficult to communicate, tell yourself.

“You’ve got this!”

Introverts take a longer time to get better with communication, the most crucial thing is you must be brave, positive with yourself, put in more effort, and of course practice more without hiding in the corner of the room while socializing.

Little by Little, you will get there. Even if you are not the loudest in the room, you can impact the world.

Keep walking at your own pace, just don’t stop or sprint too much, life is like a marathon, you have to keep going and going. You might not finish faster than anybody and you should not compare yourself with others. Keep walking even if you are not being noticed, even if you are failing, and even if you are not being supported, you need to stay resilient. Just keep going until you accomplish your goals.

People always say look at those famous introverts, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg. Not everyone can be like them, and learn from them how they grow their business, but you don’t have to copy their styles. Remember, you are always special in your own unique way.

If you want to take the next step further, you can seek help from a reliable coach in your area or on LinkedIn. For example, I went to a 2-day class about finding my passion and fixing my inner-self and it was a life-changing experience.

Little by little, you’re the author of your own story, keep shining, introverts.
