Maybe the Problem is the Couch…
Writing where I shouldn’t be, and other observations.
My couch is a horrible place to work on a novel from.
It’s comfy- don’t assume that it’s not. A little on the firm side, but you know what? That’s OK! For one, I know the price I paid for it was more than fair, and I’m not complaining.
I can nap on it without an issue! And I will happily use it for movie watching or binging the latest season of the Witcher (and like a dozen rewatches). It’s even my second favorite crocheting spot (after my bed).
Look, it’s a great place to be for many reasons- except in one case.
I hate writing there.
There’s a time and a place to write, and it is NEVER there.
(Maybe it is for you- but I certainly am not going to change my mind no matter what anyone suggests in order to improve the appeal as a writer.)
There’s just something annoying about getting a neck cramp, staring down at the screen for hours. Oh, wait, that’s pain!
Yeah, I’d like to avoid making my usually nightly back pains worse, thank you!
I am going to blame my mostly-online college education for my love of a proper desk.
