On his YouTube podcast channel, The Chazz Palminteri Show, Chazz shares his stories, insight, and wisdom. No matter what you do with your life, Chazz has some great advice for everyone. In the first episode of his podcast, he talks about how he brought the Academy Award-nominee movie, The Bronx Tale to life, lessons he learned throughout the journey of its making; and very fondly remembers his longtime friend. Bob (Robert) De Niro.

Let’s dive right into it.

1. Put Yourself Out There

  • Nobody and I repeat nobody is going to knock on your door to offer you an opportunity.
  • If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.

2. Believe in Your Inner Voice

  • Listen to that little voice in the back of your head telling you to believe in your capabilities.
  • This will help you to overcome self-doubt and confidently take action to get things done.

3. Success is Perseverance Meeting Inspiration

  • Refuse to give up on your dreams at all costs.
  • If need be, change the plan but not your goal.

4. Your Altitude is Determined By Your Attitude

  • A good attitude will take you a long way. Nobody likes working with tight, bitter people.
  • Show gratitude and strive to be a better person every day.

5. Stop Chasing Big Success

  • Sometimes living your dream even if not on a high level is enough.
  • Plus, you will have ample experience and memories to cherish. Your hard work will not be wasted.

6. Little Changes

  • It's the things that you do/change out of instinct (not forced to) that matter. It could be breaking old patterns or achieving a goal.
  • Remember these little changes you made in your life and give yourself a pat on the back!

7. Work Smart, Not Hard

  • Divide your efforts into smaller chunks. Too much effort at once will leave you overworked.
  • Quality > Quantity

8. Wait for Your Calling

  • As they say, clap for others until it’s your turn.
  • There are 7 billion people and 7 billion opportunities. Enough for each one of us. Remember, it’s not a rat race.

I hope as a 19 y/o, I shared with you some worthwhile lessons to remember for life. Keep striving & have faith. Love and Duas always!
