The average person is a snail.

They move slow. They’re overwhelmed. They have no time. They have zero urgency.

If you add a tiny bit of urgency to everything you do, results happen faster.

Deadlines get us to take action –without a deadline we take forever (or do it never).

— Tim Denning

People are happy when they set goals.

“Lost 20 lbs”

“Learn Japanese”

“Make $10,000/month”

Setting goals feels good. Taking action is pure pain.

But then they don’t dare to bet on themselves that they can beat the goal.

An air fryer was the best thing I bought in 2024.

Because I bet against myself.

I shared my goal publicly: ship my first free e-book in 30 days.

  • If I did, I would buy an air fryer.
