That inner flame

That passion that runs so deep.

That spark that gets you up in the morning.

The burning desire to do something…even if you don’t know what that is yet.

You all know what I’m talking about right?

But what do we do with this fire?

How do we keep it burning even when the strongest winds of life try to sway it?

These are question’s I frequently ask myself whenever it comes to my internal flame. It helps me to think of an actual fire.

Fires. They need a strong foundation.

Remember camping as a kid? Your dad would tell you to go find stones, rocks and pieces of wood. He would say, “The more the better.” The stronger the foundation the more potential the fire has to grow and keep alight. Acting as a comfort when the winds get strong and cold. Providing warmth despite the shivers that run through your veins.

That’s true to your internal spark. Your internal flame. Your internal fire.

It needs a foundation. A foundation of strength of hope and of peace. This foundation can be found in just starting. Even if you don’t know what that fire in you is — start doing things that are out of the norm for you.

I don’t want to continue the trend of harping on about going to the gym and socializing. Yes — those things are super important! but let’s be honest you’ve probably heard about all of that before — which is great!

My point is… try and work on yourself. Form little habit’s that’ll help you too construct your own way. All in which contribute to your internal fire having a strong foundation so it can withstand the turbulent winds of the future.

All the little thing’s add up to create something much bigger.

This is why I think nature and fire in particular is soooo cool.

The fact that fire and how it’s built can be applied to us as humans.

Like whaaat that’s crazy!! but I guess that’s why they call it human nature.

2. Fires… they need fuel.

The fuel that we put in fire relates to the energy we choose to put in our everyday life.

Energy is your greatest resource.

Work out what fills your energy. Don’t just give it away learn the rhythms to get out your max energy because energy is fuel for your everyday life.

Don’t put your energy in talking yourself out of something.

Put your energy into positive things — to grow. Instead of putting energy into complaining point that energy in a different direction and watch how your life goes down that route too.

Your behavior sends ripples to inspire someone else potentially sparking someone's flame.

Get around other flames too. Surround yourself with people who give you energy… As this will make your internal fire grow alongside others.

3. Learn to control the wind that attempts to sway that fire astray

This ‘wind’ for most of us is the little voices inside our heads.

Those little voices that make us get trapped in our heads. They cage us up leaving us feeling suffocated, small, weak.

I’m sure we all know it because we are all human (I hope so if not then I’m concerned!)

Those little:

“I can’t’s”

“Pffft me… I’m not deserving.”

“Don’t stuff up…”

It’s crazy to me how these little voices have such a big impact on our lives…

Sorry big is the wrong word it’s more like colossal, mammoth….you get my point. Right?

We let them have power over our every move.

Personally, what I’ve started to do is the simple act of:

Making an effort too separate yourself from THE voice. Try to give it a name and tell it to stop. Treat it like other and normalize telling it too shut up. This isn’t just about silencing doubts; it’s about reclaiming your sense of control as your internal fire runs wild and keeping those inner flames ablaze.

So, are you ready to set your inner fire ablaze?

Please comment your thoughts. All the best:)
