Greetings, Medium writers!

I’m Dana DuBois and I’m a Boost nominator.

In addition to nominating stories for Boost, I run two publications: Pink Hair & Pronouns (parenting gender-nonconforming kids) and Three Imaginary Girls (music), and also edit for two longstanding Medium pubs, Age of Empathy and The Memoirist.

I mostly nominate from these publications, but sometimes find other stories out in the wild to nominate. I especially love to help new writers get the “boost” they need to succeed on Medium.

Each month I share some of the stories I successfully nominated for Boost. I’ve been traveling in Europe for nearly two weeks, so forgive my late July entry. I’m typing this now from Berlin, Germany — guten tag! — and made a few of these nominations whilst on the go.

I love it here. I love being a Boost nominator. But enough about me. Let’s get to the top eight stories I successfully nominated for a Boost in July!
