Thy Defiance to Un Shine Is Blunt — November Poem Competition
Stay Bright
As bright as stars in noir space, as shiny as the sun in dark galaxies,
No matter how hard one tries, they can’t unsee thy light
Infinite circle of light in a lighthouse, Resembles thine aroma and grace
Aromatic as a rose, Majestic as a rose, Infinite as a rose
How can one stare away in such grace, such pose
— — —
Staring and staring, holding hands over fire, time still dilutes
No matter how hard one tries, thy thought brightens one’s mind
An ordinary man as I, couldn’t figure the how of thy beauty in life
Newspaper, Television, Radio, All benevolent of thy medium
They know of grace, a presence of light, as shiny as thine eyes
— — —
Such sadness. Like night taking over the light, she cries in the dark
Forcing a diamond to hinder herself, brings a certain excruciating sadness
Such doings tears one in infinite pieces, tearing down one’s heart in pieces
