There is nothing quite as satisfying as an event well done — especially one that people still talk about months or even years later.

Guests might not remember the color scheme, food setup, or playlist — but they will remember how an event made them feel.

They will remember the joy that a fabulous event evokes, and they will remember the excitement of participating in a well-thought-out celebration.

I have been throwing parties for as long as I can remember.

As a child, I recall being excited about making celebratory plans and impressing my parents with my creations.

For example, I remember planning a balloon drop as a part of my mom and dad’s wedding anniversary surprise. One of my sisters and I taped a trash bag to the ceiling, filled with balloons, and attached a ribbon to the bag. Once our parents were perfectly in place, I pulled the ribbon and released the balloons — Kid party magic!
