It is a way to enhance the reputation of the content. Search engines will rank them better due to expertise, command of the niche, and integrity.

How to do it?

You can apply off-page optimization in the below ways.

• Link building
• Content marketing
• Forums

Link Building

When you link a high authority webpage to your article or website, the search engine ranks your article high.

When the search engine finds high authority webpage links in your website/content, it assumes your writing is trustworthy.

This link is called a backlink.

Hence, if you write on any topic, say, physical fitness, your content may rank high if you use high-authority backlinks.

Content Marketing

If your high-quality content does not reach online readers, what is the use of it?

Content marketing helps to distribute your content to different online channels.

Some of these channels can be:

• Social media
• Guest posting

Pick up any social media you like and post daily on your domain.

You will have time to focus on only one social media platform where you get the attention.

Once you build the audience, you can try others.

The search engine assumes you are an expert in this domain.

Forums

In these platforms, you can directly engage with others online by posting what you know about a topic.

Your credibility increases as you show up and engage with online users.

Also, you get an idea of the trending topics that readers search on the internet.
