My name is not Karen, although as a child I did harbor a desire for a name shorter and snappier than Elizabeth. (I later decided that my name is the best name because Elizabeth has more derivatives, more short and snappy nicknames, than any other.) I guess I do have a thing about names.

I don’t understand how or why Karen became the generic nomenclature given to nasty racist…
