At the beginning of the writing journey, we often feel like we have to write a publishable article or a complete story every time

This early expectation makes us get frustrated with writing very soon and think that we donā€™t have the talent for writing.

We usually think that brainstorming and writing about seemingly mundane issues of everyday life cannot be considered serious writing.

In this case, ā€œalways writingā€ and ā€œwriting wellā€ starts with writing about ourselves and our daily concerns.

I read somewhere that Leo Tolstoy found his way to literature through his self-criticizing diaries.

At the beginning of the writing journey, maybe for years, we should only write about our personal issues, we are not going to produce fancy or strange writings, as soon as we can boldly and without censorship, put our innermost thoughts on paper, we will open the way for the flourishing of our writing talent.

One of the reasons for the effectiveness of morning pages is that it forces us to write about ourselves every day, recklessly and without fear.
