Looking back, we feel stressed by realizing that we have nothing in our hands. We don't have things in which we invest our time, money, and most importantly our efforts. Once we had family, friends, partners, ambitions, and a different life. We had different roles to play but now everything has changed, it is not like how it was supposed to be. We feel burdened and alone. Because we visualized to have those things with us forever. We never thought of living without those things and now nothing other than those things can satisfy us. We start feeling worthless because we have invested all our worth in those things that are no longer our part.

Take a pause here and think, what you have today, will you have it tomorrow?

Ah! No, you won’t have, as life is not supposed to stay the same all the time. To better understand the unpredictability of the future go through my article Tomorrow is About to Pass

Well, if we know we are not going to own things forever so should we stop investing in things and relationships?

Nah! But know which thing and relation is worth investing in. Here I want to refer to one of my favorite books The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson.

This book highlights the fact that not everything is worth worrying about, not everything deserves our time and our efforts. among all things, we have to choose things that matter most to us and then work for the betterment of those things.

So, the most important thing is self-control. when we know ourselves, we know our vulnerabilities and strengths hence able to drive ourselves in a way that saves us from drowning in the crowd of people.

A simple piece of advice:

Nothing in this world is worth sacrificing our peace!
