I’ll tell you why you should ignore willpower.

Willpower is time-limited.

We feel it more in the morning when we wake up. That’s when we make plans for the day.

I will have breakfast, work out for an hour, then go to work. When I’m back, I’ll finish the last two chapters of the novel I’m reading, make dinner, work for a couple of hours and go to bed early.

Sounds like a good plan, no? Except that by midday a lot of the things from our to-do list are forgotten, postponed, or simply ignored. It’s as if we make a statement about what we want and then we expect the things to miraculously happen.

But that’s not how it works.

To make a change, you have to be intentional and you must have a strong sense of WHY you are making the change.

How will a workout routine benefit you?

What will your future self look like if you made the change and stayed consistent with it for six months?

How would that make you feel?

Having a practice to stick to is not going to be easy. You will find yourself facing…
