Dumb privilege on Fifth Avenue

Last week we wandered on down Fifth Avenue for our annual look at the Bergdorf Goodman windows — tres disappointing this year but then what hasn’t been? — and inadvertently wound up making our way through the mini-throng that had assembled to catch the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
