If you are using Instagram or even Facebook you probably came across a site which is called “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills”. Young adults who show off what their parents gave them: Money, cars, helicopters and of course partys!

It has gone this far that E! Entertainment who also produced Keeping up with the Kardashians gave them their own series on TV.

So what about New Zealand?
As many newspapers such as the NZ Herald reported the phenomenon seems to be happen in New Zealand as well.

The Ya Ya Club is a group of wealthy young adults organising partys for the “elite” of New Zealand’s youth. One of the founders Phoebe Loloma Trezevant-Miller is a rich kid herself. Just looking at a former party of her Ya Ya Club makes you kind of facepalming. Competing with the Ya Ya Club is the so called “Full timers society”.

Coming back to the Ya Ya Club, they have a member which is well known in New Zealand: Max Key! You have heard right. The son of prime minister John Key quite likes to party.

Knowing that as a son of a prime minister you don’t need to worry about something it does kind of throw a bad light on John Key himself. Seeing children with no food in schools but having a represetant of New Zealand partying like a rockstar might not be the best method.
What is wrong with these “Rich Kids” ?
