Thoughts on John Key

So this is my second blogpost and I would like to give it a try and write about a rather political topic — yes, ‘rather’ political. Because when I think about New Zealand’s prime minister John key, neither his political aims nor his election platform nor anything else that goes in this direction comes to my mind. BUT much more his little scandals and infamies.

If you type ‘john key’ in the Google search box, the second suggestion it will make is ‘john key ponytail’. Oh yes, wasn’t there more about it?
New Zealand’s prime minister likes to pull on ponytails — especially if they belong to waitress. Sounds weird? Well it actually IS weird. But what did happen exactly? John Key and his wife often go to a cafe next to their home where the said waitress works. Key wanted to be ‘funny and playfully’, but well, that did not really go down well with her — actually with nobody. He apologized afterwards when the waitress mentioned that she did not really like it… but well, Mr. Key, if you do it more than once that doesn’t testify repentant at all.
She even blogged about it and revealed some more details, which made the whole thing go viral… After all you can say that this prank or the so called „ponytail gate“ was just absolutely weird.

almost as weird as this picture…

But there are some more things which make John key rather appear dubious.

For example the fact that he described a radio hosts t-shirt as ‘gay’. I don’t think a prime minister should use this word as an adjective in this context, Key should really watch his homophobe language, especially because he often talks like this.

Key in a red shirt….

But well, I don’t know how the Kiwis think about their prime minister, whether they love or hate him… I couldn’t really decide yet!
