How To Make Free Business Email Account

An email account is very important in business field. Although there are countless numbers of free email services are available, your customers can’t trust if your email is not business email address. This mean that your business email should not be extension of @gmail.com, @live.com, @yahoo.com or others. Business email should be your own custom domain. For example, yourname@company.com . But to make this business email address, you need to buy your own domain name. A domain price should be at least from 8 to 15 USD for .com domain. I recommend you to buy domain at NameCheap because you can buy domain with cheaper price than others. Ok, after buying a domain name for your business, you need to setup business email account with your own domain name.

There are many premium email services such as Google App for Work, Name.com, Godaddy and others. But these are not free. In this article, I will show you how to setup a business email account for free with Zoho. Zoho lets you to host single domain and up to 25 users with 5GB Mailbox storage, 5GB Docs storage, online office applications and Docs desktop sync for free. If you want to use multiple domain on Zoho, you need to pay additional fees. But if you only host single domain , it is absolutely free. Let’s try it. In this case, I assume as you already have a domain.

Go to Zoho website and signup as free.

Add your own domain name and click “Add Domain” button.

Fill the require information — name, email address, password and contact email. Then click “Sign Up” button.

Just a few second, it will redirect to confirm details page and you need to setup your domain in Zoho. Click “ Setup your domain.com in Zoho”.

In this step, you need to confirm to Zoho. Check your email account ,and confirm Zoho service.

After you clicked these link, your current email is confirm successfully on Zoho. Now, the process is half-way done and let’s go on next step. In this step, you need to verify ownership of domain address. In this case, you need to select DNS hosting provider from the given list. If your DNS provider list is available in this list, just click and select your DNS provider. If your DNS provider list is not available in the list, you must select “Others” option. In this tutorial, I will show you with “Others” option. So, you need to a little setup from your Domain name provider. Create a CNAME for your domain in your DNS provider and point it to zmverify.zoho.com. Don’t close this windows. You need to comeback this page. :)

Login into your DNS provider and add new record. Select “CNAME Record” and fill the information given by Zoho.

If you are finished all this step, you are 90 % complete. Now, you can now verify by CNAME. Click “Verify by CNAME” button at the bottom of the page.

Just wait 2 to 3 seconds, it will appear account setup page. Now, you can create account for your business email address.

After creating account, you need to setup MX records in your DNS hosting provider to receive email. Just go back to DNS hosting provider and add MX records.

In this step, you need to edit or add record in DNS panel. Click add new record in your DNS panel, select “MX record” or “Custom MX”. Put the information of Host name, address and priority values given by Zoho.

Now, you have successfully complete business email creating on Zoho. Login at https://mail.zoho.com and enjoy with your business email.
