Newcater won Third Prize of Hackathon contest at Vietnam Blockchain Hub 2018
Following the success of Tomochain Hackathon in July, Newcater participated in the Hackathon contest at Vietnam Blockchain Hub 2018, which was held from 24–26 September 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Vietnam Blockchain Hub 2018 is a big event with the participation of over 20 Blockchain communities, technology startups, 50 well-known speakers and over 1000 attendees.
Having competed with other 7 strong teams from different Blockchain projects around Vietnam. Newcater Team achieved Third Prize of the contest for a fundraising and community fund management application named CaterFund. CaterFund is decentralized crowdfunding management application running on Blockchain platform. We apply Smartcontract and use cryptocurrencies in fundraising and fund management for startups, charity and other community fund projects that meet the criteria of the Ecosystem. Blockchain infrastructure is optimized to ensure transparency, safety and efficiency of the proposed projects.
Besides TomoCater, an application for charity management, CaterFund is a part of Newcater Ecosystem. These two Blockchain applications are to benefit the community and society, which is one of our long-term missions.
