What is the role of NewCater in connecting and supporting the community?
Our Community connectivity and support solutions include 3 components:
- Cater Community forum
- Cater Fund
- TomoCater
- Cater Community Forum
Cater Community is the forum where the community of Cater Token supporters and owners can share, discuss, or exchange information and issues related to the Newcater ecosystem. In order to maintain the forum’s official member account, each user must agree to lock a minimum balance.
Two types of member account:
- Cater Lead: the participating supporters of the project from the Private and Pre-sale rounds. Cater Lead will act as the moderator in the forum. 102 Cater Lead badges will also be created in advance to reward for accounts with great contributions to the community in the future.
- Cater Member: accounts owning Token from the ICO onwards. If they have helpful contributions to the community, Cater Member will be nominated for the monthly Cater Lead badge, (1 member per month). Anyone who can get the highest vote by the community will be rewarded with a badge and an amount of tokens.
Levels and Assets:
All members are ranked on the board based on the amount of assets they are holding. There are 5 levels of assets including Diamond, Ruby, Gold, Silver, Bronze. 1 Diamond is equivalent to 1000 Cater, 1 Ruby is equivalent to 500 Cater, 1 Gold is equivalent to 100 Cater, 1 Sliver is equivalent to 50 Cater and 1 Bronze is equivalent to 10 Cater. Members who have the a certain amount of asset will have a corresponding rank and the ranking will be changed in real time as the amount of Token held by members changes.
Member Groups:
Members in the Ecosystem are divided into 8 groups with their badges including: Merchants, Craftsmen, Reviewers, Developers, Experts, Marketers, Delivery Men (CaterTrip) and Consumers. One member can be in multiple different groups. The membership details page will tell you more about their achievements and experiences, such as number of purchases, number of posts, number of reviews, etc.
The documentation describing the technical details and the particular operation of each content in the platform will be updated when the forum goes live. Basically the forum will have the following main contents:
- Discussion: Members discuss and interact with others on the topics and categories.
- Group: a group of people who have the same interest in a big topic. They will interact with each other through statuses and comments in the group.
- E-learning: where members post and share videos, online courses about teaching how to make handicrafts or sharing special tips. Content publishers can set to public mode and receive reward tokens from members, or they can set to private mode and set the access price.
- DIY: where displays the images of handicrafts and other unique products that they made or have interest.
2. Cater Fund decentralized crowdfunding application
As a fundraising application for start-up ideas, collecting from the community by prepayment akin to Kickstarter model. Cater Fund applies Smart Contract in management. These products, which need sponsorships, must match the criterias of the Newcater platform: unique, handcrafted or eco-friendly. The samples, documents or videos should be presented to convince the community. When a project is raised, the community will discuss and support by committing Token via Cater Wallet, then vote to disburse funds to implement products as scheduled, fundraisers will continuously update the progress, if it is not on schedule, the community can vote to refund to contributors.
3. TomoCater decentralized charitable fund management application
TomoCater is another version of the Cater Fund, which is used for charity fundraising and non-profit model. TomoCater is a decentralized charitable fundraising management application based on Blockchain, in which the fundraisers post the support campaign, the community and patrons will donate money and participate in voting so that the funds are distributed according to the roadmap to the target goals.
TomoCater won the first prize in the Tomochain Hackathon 2018 competition organized by Tomochain. The event gathered many competitors and renowned judges in blockchain industry: Mr. Vuong Quang Long — the founder of TomoChain, Mr. YY Lai — the representative of Signum Capital, head of the startup support department at Paypal, James Ahn — CEO of Edenchain, Mr. Victor Vu — CTO of Kyber Network …
Newcater also devotes 8% of its reserves to fund for projects of culture and tradition conservation, poverty reduction, green agriculture, and environmental improvement, etc, eco-tourism development, community education, charity, craft promotion, national identity preservation. We are currently conducting surveys and join in some conservation activities for cave heritage and wildlife in Central Vietnam. Then, we will support vocational programs for ethnic minorities in Northwest Vietnam and sponsor charities for poor community in Cebu, Philippines. When Newcater goes into operation, we will implement sponsorships for community funds all over the world.
