Get Shift Done: Tips and Tricks
Want Google Voice to Stop Screening Your Callers? Here’s How.
When you set up a Google Voice account it will automatically implement a screening system for your callers. Voice will ask the caller to say their name, which is repeated to you before the call is allowed to go through. But you can turn off this feature easily.
On a computer, open Google Voice. Then, click on the Settings icon and click on Settings from the dropdown menu.
Next, select the Calls tab.
Finally, in the Call Screening section, select the Off option. This will allow you to speak directly with anyone that’s calling.
Bonus tip: If you still want to deter spammers from calling you, but don’t want to bother legit callers, Google has an anti-spam option.
Open the Calls tab again, and go down to the Global Spam Filtering section. Tick the box beside, “Send calls and text messages from numbers identified as spam by Google directly to the Spam folder.”
