One of the best ways to maintain our bodies healthy is to be active. But did you know that it can help you improve your entire well-being and quality of life? Physical activity on a regular basis can help to reduce stress, anxiety, despair, and anger. Exercise builds muscle strength, which improves your capacity to do other physical tasks. Furthermore, being more active can help you: decrease your blood pressure, increase your good cholesterol levels, enhance blood flow (circulation), maintain a healthy weight, and avoid bone loss that can lead to osteoporosis.

Realizing the importance of staying active, our group decided to do a self-experiment on a “healthy lifestyle” practicing schedule of a World Muay Thai Champion. However, since the member of our group are not professional athletes, we reduced the amount of work to fit our bodies status. The schedule was modified from running 10 km to the amount 5 km and instead of boxing, our group choose the gym training schedule.

At first, if someone does not exercise regularly, they will get shocked right at the beginning of the schedule since it starts at 5 in the morning and 5-kilometer of running right afterwards. For myself, I used to run 5 kilometers away for 3 to 4 days a week, that why what torturing me the most is the fact that I ran with empty stomach. Recently, I have changed from running 5 kilometers a day to hitting the gym, therefore, the gym schedule is also not a big problem for me. But for a person that does not train regularly, it is difficult to catch up with the amount of exercise, muscular pain, and tiredness even nausea can appear at the beginning. However, with a good moderation exercise, an ordinary person can catch up with our group’s schedule in 2 weeks. As a person that exercises regularly, I can feel that it not only strengthens my body but also helps to keep my mind clear and bright.
