The endgame of Covid-19, Vaccines or Herd Immunity

I believe that this coronavirus disease is well known nowadays. Millions of people died because of this coronavirus disease. The majority of patients infected with the COVID-19 virus will have mild to moderate respiratory symptoms and will recover without needing any specific therapy. I believe everyone is thinking and asking right now, when will this coronavirus end, and what is the endgame of the coronavirus? Are we gonna use the herd immunity thing or vaccines? For me, vaccination is the logical way to overcome this pandemic. Why? I have several arguments to reveal.

Our immune system is stimulated to make antibodies by a vaccine, just as it would be if you were exposed to the disease. Rather than contracting the disease first, you gain immunity to it after being vaccinated. This is why vaccines are such effective medicines. Vaccines, unlike most drugs, do not treat or cure diseases; instead, they prevent them. Vaccines, according to Dominowski, who has a BS in microbiology and public health as well as an MS and a Ph.D. in immunology, strengthen the immune system in the human body. This medicine has been shown to be clinically effective and has assisted thousands of people in living healthier lives.

Why is a coronavirus vaccine important? The virus is easy to transmit, and the vast majority of the world’s population is still at risk. A vaccination would offer some protection by conditioning people’s immune systems to resist the virus, preventing them from becoming ill. Although the vaccine can now block the spread of the disease, no vaccine is 100% effective. The bacteria or virus is killed or weakened to make vaccinations safer than the sickness. Not everyone who has been vaccinated develops immunity for personal reasons.

Most routine childhood vaccines are effective for 85% to 95% of recipients according to the World Health Organization. But using this vaccine there may be some side effects. And some of the side effects are dangerous. Well, in my opinion, I think it’s better to take the vaccine first because by taking the vaccine it can stop the spreading first so there are no fatalities anymore. I may claim that vaccines are superior to herd immunity since human antibodies aren’t the only way the immune system fights diseases like COVID-19, and other types of immune cells may ramp up to quickly combat infection. Herd immunity, on the other hand, would not operate if people could be mildly reinfected.

“If immunity is only transitory, the pandemic may not ‘end,’” says Neil Ferguson, an Imperial College London disease modeler. The World Health organization said that allowing the coronavirus to rapidly spread throughout their communities, saying it will overwhelm hospitals and kill a lot of people. So, the endgame in my point of view is to take the vaccine first and as time goes by scientists will discover the medicine that can cover the coronavirus disease.
