NEL announces its partnership with Trinity, a state channel technology solution. The two parties will work together on two areas:

1. NEL’s first major project NNS will be integrated into the Trinity wallet client.

2. NEL will work with Trinity to advance the Neo game ecosystem, co-host technological meet-ups, share cases of Trinity state channel used in the NEO-based games, and solve the performance problems arising from the integration of game and blockchain.

NNS will be integrated into Trinity wallet client

The Trinity Wallet, as a NEO eco wallet, will integrate NNS’s domain name service, allowing the registration and use of the NEO Name Service. The Trinity Wallet will provide an easier-to-use client for NNS.

NNS’s domain name service will also make it easier for users of Trinity Wallet to transfer tokens. There is no need to enter a long list of unordered wallet addresses to prevent possible errors when entering addresses and malicious tampering that may occur when copying addresses. Therefore, account security will be improved.

NNS is NEL’s first major project. NEL is the largest China-based NEO developer community.

NNS is the NEO Name Service, a distributed, open, and extensible name system based on the NEO blockchain.

Our primary goal is to replace irregular string such as wallet address and smart contract Hash which are hard to memorize for humans with words and phrases. Trinity Wallet is a state channel based wallet App. Trinity provides users fast-speed transactions safely with “Trading off-chain, endorsement on-chain” state channels. Users can get the fastest payment experience by using this App.

Trinity Wallet App have state channel-based transfer and receive functions. Users can make off-chain transfer by accessing nodes and building channels. In addition, the normal on-chain transfer function is still reserved in the App.

When using the app, users first deposit TNCs and add a newly opened state channel to the channel list. Then the two parties can transfer assets between each other off-chain. Either party is able to close the channel and settle on-chain. Only the opening and closing of channels will trigger on-chain settlement and whole-network broadcast. This guarantees the speed of transactions, security and retains decentralization of the whole network.

NEL will work with Trinity to advance the Neo gaming ecosystem

As the largest China-based NEO developer community, NEL has been committed to the development of NEO community, as well as the exploration of NEO blockchain technology and NEO blockchain-based games.

The partnership between NEL and Trinity is not only an important exploration of the commercial application of blockchain-based games, but also lays the foundation for the co-construction of blockchain-based game application ecosystem. At the same time, NEL will jointly organize technical meet-ups with Trinity to share the application cases of Trinity state channel which will be used in the blockchain-based game field and solve the performance problem arising from the integration of games and the NEO blockchain.

Trinity is committed to addressing the issue of scaling of the blockchain and using state channel technology to achieve low-cost, high-throughput off-chain transactions.

That is, if the game player wants to use the Trinity network, they need to open a state channel first (this step is a transaction on the blockchain), then all their operations in the game will be through the status channel (that is, all transactions are off-chain) Because playing a game involves a lot of transactions, if you put them on the chain, it will put a lot of burden on the chain, and the state channel puts unnecessary transactions off the chain, which is a good solution to the scalability.

The NEO blockchain-based game application will integrate Trinity’s state channel protocol, and the Trinity development team will provide blockchain technology-related support and state channel-based bookkeeping to provide blockchain computing solutions for the NEO blockchain game application development. NEO blockchain’s scalability can be archived by working intensively with the Trinity Technology team and with the help of off-chain data network provided by Trinity. NEO’s gaming ecosystem can share and process more information more securely and efficiently without huge on-chain costs.
